OUR HISTORY
Top Dawg BJJ owner Dayvon McCarrell began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2009 after serving in the Air Force. In this new adventure, Dayvon quickly learned what many do in BJJ – you must always work hard and stay humble. He saw that – even with his background – he couldn’t dominate right away. Nevertheless, he pushed forward and started racking up accomplishments, including multiple IBJJF titles and medaling at Master Worlds. After years of training, Dayvon wanted to bring a Jiu-Jitsu academy closer to the Tinker Air Force Base and Del City. In 2018, Top Dawg BJJ’s doors opened and we’ve grown exponentially ever since, adding more classes as more students joined. As time goes on, we continue working toward our goal to have everyone who walks through our doors feel at home.
